Australia Represented in World Lithuanian Alpine Ski Championships in Italy

The 9th World Lithuanian Alpine Ski Championships were held in Passo Tonale, Italy, 10-17 March 2007. The Lithuanian Ski Federation holds these championships every two years and draws Lithuanian skiers from many countries. In 1997 they were held in Guthega in the Snowy Mountains of Australia. This year in Italy Australian Lithuanians was admirably represented by Dr. Angonita (Nita) Grincevičiūtė-Wallis, a long time member and former president of "Kovas" Australian Lithuanian Sports Club in Sydney. In addition to her skiing skills, Nita has been a dentist in her professional life and in recent years has also been very busy using her artistic talents creating porcelain dolls, that have won many Australian and International awards (see Culture / Arts on this website).
