Distinguished Lithuanian Scientist Prof Roma Rinkevičienë invited for a series of lectures to Australian Engineers

On the occasion of the 25th Anniversary of the Victorian Section of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the IEEE Victorian and NSW Sections have invited Professor Roma Rinkevičienë as a distinguished lecturer for a series of lectures in Sydney and Melbourne.
She gave talks in Sydney last Tuesday, 23 September, at the Energy Australia Auditorium on the topics of “Electrical power generation in Lithuania, from the Soviet era to the EU” and on “Women in electrical engineering”. In Melbourne she will speak at the RMIT University Kaleide Theatre on Tuesday, September 30, and on Wednesday, October 1 (at 12.30 pm on both occasions).
Professor Roma Rinkevičienë since 2003 has been the Dean of the Electronics Faculty at the Vilnius Gediminas Technical University in Vilnius, Lithuania. She is author or co-author of more than 90 publications in the area of systems using linear electric drives and is co-author of the monographs “Algorithms for calculation and control of linear electric drives” (1997) and “Mechatronic systems with linear motors” (2006).
