Louis Garrick Produces Britten’s Opera “The Turn of the Screw”
Australian Lithuanian Louis Garrick is the producer in the Sydney University Opera Company’s production of the opera “The Turn of the Screw” by Benjamin Britten. The conductor is Jack Symonds and the director is Christopher Hay. Louis Garrick is also the President of the Sydney University Opera Company, which is a new and Australia’s first student opera company. “The Turn of the Screw “ is the company’s first production.

After achieving a brilliant pass in the 2005 HSC examination, Louis Garrick has continued to be a high achiever at University of Sydney, where he is studying for the Bachelor of Arts, specialising in musicology. In 2009 he was placed on the Dean’s List of excellence in academic performance (Bachelor of Arts) and also achieved University of Sydney Academic Merit Prize.
