Lithuanian Film to be Screened at the 62nd Sydney Film Festival

The film "The Summer of Sangailė", produced by Lithuanian filmmaker Alantė Kavaitė, is to be screened at the 62nd Sydney Film Festival, 3-14 June 2015 .The film has already won the World Cinema Dramatic Directing Award at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival in Utah, USA. It stars Lithuanian actresses Julija Steponaitytė and Aistė Diržiūtė.
As described by the Sydney Film Festival: "The Summer of Sangailė" is an intoxicating, sensual tale of young love over the course of an eventful summer. 17-year-old Sangailė is fascinated by stunt planes, but is also afraid of heights, preventing her from ever pursuing her dreams of flight. At an aeronautical show she meets Austė, a local girl of her age, who unlike Sangailė, lives her life to the full."

" The Summer of Sangailė" will be screened at the following locations and times:
