Helmut Bakaitis Directs "The Private Life of the Master Race" At NIDA

For the last seven years Lithuanian-heritage Helmut Bakaitis has been Head of Directing at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in Sydney. His production of the forthcoming Second Year Production of The Private Life of the Master Race by Bertolt Brecht will be staged 19-23 October 2007 at NIDA’s Parade Theatre. After this production, which will be his final production as Head of Directing, Helmut will be retiring from full time involvement with NIDA, but will maintain a continuing strong association. A multi-talented actor, writer, director and teacher, Helmut has been described "as our own national living treasure" by the Director of NIDA, Aubrey Mellor OAM.
